Behavioral Expectations

Respectfully Participate in a Positive Learning Environment
  • Use positive, polite speech and actions with students and teachers.
  • Participate in class discussions and activities; no refusing to follow directions.
  • Do your best, encourage others to do the same; do not distract other students.

Academic Expectations

You Are Responsible for Your Own Learning
  • You are responsible for keeping track of your assignments. Homework is posted on our website. If absent, you are responsible to find out what you missed and to hand in any required work.
  • Assignments need to be completed and handed in on time.
  • Students must maintain a 75% average in each subject to remain at SPARK.

Plagiarism Policy

Do Not Take Credit for Work That is Not Your Own
  • Do not copy or paste someone else's work, including AI, and hand it in as your own.
  • AI use is only permitted with teacher approval and must be fact-checked for accuracy and potential plagiarism.
  • Cite your sources of information on papers, including AI, that you hand in for assignments.

Technology Policy

Technology is for Educational Purposes
  • Phones must be kept in your backpack and put on silent.
  • Headphones and other electronics are not allowed for entertainment.
  • Computer use is for academic purposes and only opened at the teacher's direction. SPARK gmails are for educational purposes only. SPARK does not monitor students' social media; that is the parents' job.

Forms

Parents register as a home-educated family with their county. A teacher will sign off the Annual Evaluation at the end of the school year.
